Garlic-Herb Popcorn                                   Vegan

             This low-calorie, healthy snack is just the ticket when you are
             craving something crunchy and salty. Buy organic popcorn kernels
             that are not genetically modified, and cook them on the stove top
             instead of in the microwave.

             Ingredient Variations: The diferent flavor combinations to try
             with popcorn are endless. Try a cheesy version with grated Parme-
             san cheese and freshly ground pepper. Or go for a sweet popcorn
             with unsweetened cocoa powder and coconut sugar.

             2 tablespoons coconut oil     1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
             ½ cup organic popcorn kernels  ½ teaspoon salt
             1 tablespoon garlic powder

             1.  In a large pot over high heat, add the oil and popcorn kernels.
               Cook, covered, swirling the pan occasionally, until the popcorn
               begins to pop slowly.
             2.  Remove the pan from the heat and keep it covered until the pop-
               corn finishes popping.
             3.  Add the garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt to the popcorn,
               tossing to coat. Serve.

             Serves 4. Prep time: 5 minutes. Cooking time: 10 minutes. Total time: 15 minutes.
