 If they won’t help you, then I recommend you find all the Realtors in your market who buy leads on Zillow and Trulia. This isn’t ideal as you don’t have precise data on their production, however, if they’re spending money on Zillow/Trulia you know they are willing to invest in their business to grow which is a positive sign to me.
As for the number of agents you should target, that will depend on the size of the event you want to have. Obviously, the bigger the event, the bigger the list of Realtors you need.
Personally, I don’t put a lot of focus on event size initially. I’ll focus on 50 to 100 Realtors to start in order to gauge initial interest in the topic/event. Once I have a basic idea of how many Realtors would be interested I’ll then finalize date & time along with venue (more on this in sub-step 2).
So if you want a size list to build, start with 50 to 100 of the RIGHT agents (agents that close minimum 6 buyer sides per year and at purchase prices you are good with).
