SOLAR POWER

Every hour of every day, the amount of energy from
the sun that reaches Earth is more than the entire Goal:
globe consumes in a year. There is tremendous To create the first utility size and scalable solar
potential for solar power generation on the closed production array in Nova Scotia.

project—which came from residents of Mead- Why:

                ners. Anticipated Benefit:

dividend to Meadowview so as to build a stronger
                community.

An in-depth feasibility study is required to assess
                our production data, address technical
requirements; and ensure the project is financially
viable. Once the feasibility study is complete,
Council will make a decision on the way forward.

As part of the 2018-2019 Budget Process, Council
committed $59, 000 to the project for the feasibility
                study.
