KEEPING THE BOND
All glory and praise to our Lord, our God and our King Jesus Christ for the unimpeded service of the Mission Directorate amidst the pandemic. With the decision of the BCBP Cebu Northern Region to make it a Regional Breakfast every Saturday, the Breakfast Ministry has somehow relaxed a bit. This is so because we, BCBP Mandaue Chapter, can host a Breakfast Fellowship once every seven weeks – while the other six Chapters and Talamban Outreach take their turns in hosting the Breakfast Fellowship.
This also means less engagement for Breakfast Ministry members. To keep the bond among members strong, the Breakfast Ministry initiated an Action Group Meeting among themselves. With the support from our Breakfast Ministry Head Gary Bacalla, we started holding our own AGM in May 2020. Like any Action Group, we hold an AGM twice a month, every other Thursday at 5:30PM.
Only a few attended the first three AGMs. Hats off to Ate Marlene Saceda who exerted efforts to get everybody to attend. Gladly, with all the efforts being exerted, we had 19 participants in our July 16, 2020 AGM which was hosted by Kuya Leo and Ate Janice Merilo. What made it so special is that six graduates from the BCLP 21 attended - Kuya Mars, Ate Rosvic, Ate Lulu, Ate Irish, Ate Carmel and Ate Carmen. It was overwhelming to see the new BCLP 21 Graduates serving God in our Breakfast Ministry.
Apart from keeping our bond and constant communication with one another, it is our fervent hope and prayers that amidst the pandemic, nothing can stop us all from continuing to serve God with the various capacities He equipped us with. Thank you Ate Janice for the summary of messages that all redound to “pray and pray and pray
as often as we can”
We will include in our daily prayers to do more to please God. On top of our unceasing prayers, we also agreed to include praise and worship to HIM anytime of the day. And most importantly, every 12 noon every day, every one should pause, pray, and praise God.
May this and all that we do be pleasing to Him.

FIRST FRIDAY MASS AND TEACHING NIGHT
A First Friday Mass and Teaching Night was virtually held via Zoom last July 3, 2020 with our very own Fr. Renel Cabag, OAD, as resource speaker. The topic was Relevance of Church and Community in the New Normal. Attendees were evenly spread between Zoom and BCBP Mandaue Events Facebook Page.
To bring our focus on the topic, Fr. Renel posed a question that we can use later on during our respective Action Group Meetings this month. The questions are the following:
