UPDATES UPDATES
"Sing out your thanks to Him; sing praises to our God."
NO MAN IS AN ISLAND.
The July Assembly was the best virtual Chapter Assembly we ever had since we started to go virtual in our Chapter activities. It was the fruit of the combined efforts of BCBP brothers and sisters who cheerfully, generously and undoubtedly contributed their Time, Talent and Treasure for its success.
There were apprehensions and edgy moments in the preparations, and even with the reassuring presence of untiring Kuyas and Ates, with baited breath, we went live in the evening of July 24.
God is good; He is near; He answers our prayers! The Chapter Assembly turned out virtually seamless and this has taught us our lesson:
the secret to success is
Pray, Pray, Pray!
On a personal note, I came to realize that it will still be long after that Zoom will be a good friend, but with the presence of Rene Sanapo, Cezar Villacampa and Arlonne Limbagan, there
is no need to be friends with Zoom anyway!
MUSIC MINISTRY
By God’s grace, I was able to utilize my diminutive knowledge in editing videos. Though challenged by the limited capability of the hardware used in rendering better quality videos, our virtual choir first appeared during our hosting of the online regional breakfast last July 18, 2020.
Thanks to the following members for sharing their time and effort in making our first virtual choir a success: Rowena Cabahug, Marlene Saceda, Sim and Emmie Lanaria, Ding and Liclac Seismundo, Joni Ocasiones, Jun and Enbee Tagalog and Tom Tan.
We are happy to know that a lot of the chapter members are willing to join our virtual choir in the hope of compiling an album of songs we can use during online and face to face fellowships.
Malachi 3:18, “then you will see the difference between those who serve God and those who do not.”
Let us worship God by sharing the talents He gave us, in service to our fellowmen and community.
To God be all the glory.
BC VI
The Music Ministry, with Kuya Rhino Acre as worship leader, did their best to make the pre- pandemic assemblies more spirit-filled. The government’s prohibition of mass gatherings and fellowships in March 2020 did not stop the Music Ministry from keeping its vow to serve the Lord and the community in worship.
As what we learned from BCLP,
singing praise is like praying twice.
So with the use of technology, we organized a VIRTUAL CHOIR.
