Strengthening Ties through eLamdag
In this quarantine period, many of the activities of the Program and Services Directorate have been put on hold: the National Anniversary Celebrations (NAC), Be Honest Run, and Sportsfest are just a few of them.
But Covid could not stop the PSD from pursuing its mandate to bring fun, sprinkled with deep spirituality, to Chapter members. And the way the PSD does this is through its Communications Ministry, which has revived the Chapter’s digital newsletter, eLamdag.
With the support of many servants and members of our community, the first eLamdag issue was published (in PDF format) in June 2020. Since then an eclectic volunteer team has come together to plan and put together the next issues. They have formed a collegial Editorial Board where each member contributes according to his or her skills and gifts.
This issue (July 2020) has its theme, “Resilience and Endurance through Faith”. Here you can read inspiring stories about how Jesus Christ has helped our fellow members through these times of difficulty.
In the next few months, each issue of eLamdag will focus on a particular Directorate: Mission in August, Formation in September, Family Life in October, and Program and Services in November. Through these issues, we hope to let our members know more about the services of these directories and pick how they want to contribute their talents and time.
eLamdag will need all the help it can get to put out these planned issues. Please let us know if you want to contribute your own articles or news, help other members write their stories, contribute photos, illustration, edit, or work on the layout.
