GLOBAL TASK FORCE MEETING

The industry focused global task force meetings were held at Omron,
Kyoto H.Q. from June 3rd ? June 5th. The task force meetings were an
excellent opportunity to bring together the 100+ global task force
members and update one another on the valuable ongoing opportunities
for each WP. The meetings offered an opportunity to share and discuss
new technologies and other ideas from the global task force members on
the 8 EM C- focused industries. Here is a snapshot of what our
EM C- focused industries are working on:
ATE is focusing on two products: ultra- fine EFC pin- block solution,
and the expansion of the T- module. The focus is to develop new
customers and applications using EFC products, implement promotion
activities utilizing new value such as the T- module, and to expand
existing business by cross- selling products and leveraging success
stories.
Automotive Components is currently focusing on the integration of see
through paneling (STP) and aerial projection/ display to add customer
value for heads up displays (HUD) on vehicle dashboards.
E- Sports is focusing on several different focus products including the
B3KL and the D2FC. The B3KL slim mechanical keyboard switch with
RGB capabilities is targeting PC gaming laptops and the new version of
the D2FC, silent switch and double- click fix, to increase market share.
Power Tools focus is to build strong relationships with companies
outside of M akita for the DC brushless trigger switch while still
maintain large focus on M akita. EM C?s power tools are also focusing
on new products including the wall scanner (M akita only) and
hammer- drill proximity sensor, open to all customers.
PV Generation System is focusing on the development of two new products, one device and one module. The device
is a low heat 100A and 200A relay; the module is a PCB rapid shutdown module for PV generation systems.

Respiratory is currently working on changing its focus from oxygen concentrators, e- flavor, and
smart- inhaler/ nebulizer (SIN) to oxygen concentrator, smart- bed, and breath detection (as function). This focus
industry is currently working on developing four products which include: digital differential and digital gage pressure
sensors, water- , resistant barometric pressure sensor, combination flow and purity sensor.
Robotics is focusing on four target functions including: multi- function hand, 3- D perception, predictive
maintenance, and downsizing/ weight- saving of robotic arms. The focus within these four functions is to determine
the growth rate, macro trends, and customers interest levels to combine EM C?s strength of ?devices x logic? to create
proofs of concept as a key action plan.
Smart Home & Building is focusing on applications to provide safety, comfort, and wellness into the home and work
life of its customers including smart bed, thermostat, HVAC, and other at- home or in- office appliances. This focus is
one of the primary goal applications for sensors and sensor technology, including the environment sensor, thermal IR,
air quality, and pressure sensor.
