“As to your second question,” said DJ, “I’m taking care of Solly for a friend of mine who is a zoo keeper. Solly will be here for about a month.”
“Oh,” said Aimi. “I met a zoo keep at the Bird Zoo.” She told DJ all
about her visit to the Bird Zoo. She told him about the tiny little baby chicks, about the big green talking bird, and about Peacock, the beautiful bird that could fan his ‘train’ feathers into a big circle.
“Peacock could not talk,” said Aimi, “but Peacock could screech and
screech and screech. It sounded something like this.” Aimi tried to make sound like a Peacock screech.
Grami jumped in her cozy rocking chair. Solly jumped in the jungle gym. The real live artist jumped in front of the easel, the big canvas, and the tubes of paint. He dropped his sketching pencil.
