went well and the tumor was almost completely
removed so, in reality, I am lucky. Yes, I had two
tumors but neither was cancer and both have, or
are in the process, of being successfully treated.
Both experiences were very different: one was
more of an emergency removal and the other was
identified, with weeks leading up to the surgery.
Both afforded their different emotional roller
coasters and challenges, however I guess the three
things that were consistent with both experiences
are: Walk participants and cancer survivors

for the medical staff, friends, and family If you or a family member are in the

with support; and like I have or worse, please know that you are
                   3. Having a true appreciation for what’s stronger than you think.   Be gentle with yourself
really important.                           and allow your mind and body the time it needs to
heal. Each day will be progressively better and you
My immense gratitude was heightened by will get through this!!
