Your #4 Obesity-Related Killer
I smoked heavily from age 17 to 24. When I stopped, I began overeating and almost killed myself TWICE (from
Obesity & Smoking). A business customer of mine, Bob Sweezey, was the first person to “Save-My-Life”.
In 1961, when I was 24, Mr. Sweezey gave me an order to equip his FOOD plant on the west coast for all the
Stainless Steel pipe, valves, pumps & fittings they needed to build the plant . . . on the condition I installed it.
Great – that meant 3 glorious weeks, 3 thousand miles away on the west coast. Well, not exactly.
On the flight out there, he told me I was not allowed to smoke any time while out there as another condition.
Sure, Sure, Sure – how would he know when I was smoking ?
Boy, was I wrong – he practically followed me, day and night – even into the men’s washroom – I kid you not.
That was a harrowing 3 weeks – BUT IT WORKED – I haven’t smoked a single cigarette since then.
But my youngest son, Steffen, did - until he tried the E-Cigarettes – that worked – no smoking the last 3 years.
I’m not necessarily a fan of E-Cigarettes – But I believe E-Cigarettes are better than Cigarettes. You Decide.
Smoking kills far more obese people than normal people from increased respiratory diseases. But even
normal smokers die years earlier. Look at the stats on the opposite page – as an obese person, if respiratory
diseases don’t kill you . . . smoking will – if that doesn’t . . . and a stroke doesn’t – obesity absolutely will.
