Universal Self underlying the ego-self. This demands constant negation of the ego and af rmation of the Universality of the Self.
Sel ess service of humanity, prayer, re ection, devout meditation on God, development of Divine qualities, cultivation of Divine Love and Wisdom— these are the methods that must be pursued in your daily life in order to “die” to the ego-self and be reborn in the Spirit. As you enter into higher spiritual realms through devotion, you gradually and spontaneously develop dispassion towards all that is attainable in the realms of the not-Self (the senses, mind and intellect). You integrate your personality so well that the con nes of the body and mind are surpassed, and you enter into the transcendental Kingdom of Heaven. The strings of your personality are so wonderfully tuned that they bring forth the melody of eternity.
Born in the realm of ignorance, you have a beginning and an end. You move in the world of time and space. But when you are born of the Spirit, you discover your innate spiritual nature. You are no longer identi ed with your body. You rise above ego-consciousness and discover your unity with the Divine Self.
