If the  chairman rises  to  speak,  the  person  standing  must  sit  down,  that  tie
                       chair may be first hoard.
                           No otic; is to speak impertinently,  or beside  the  question,  or  to  mse  indecent
                       language; against the proceedings of the house.  Nor should  a  person  in  speaking,
                       mention another then present,  by  his  name,  but should describe him  by his seat, or
                       is  ' Lthe gentleman who spoke  last,”  or,  ’Lu«  the  other  sirle  of  the question,”  eic.
                           Any one when  called  to  order by  another  or 1>y the chair,  must  sit  down,  and
                       not proceed  without leave until the question of  order  shall  have  been  decided  by
                       the chair,
                           "\V 1)ilo  the presiding officer is addressing the house  or  putting  a.  question,  no
                       Otic should cross the  floor or  leave the room  ;  nor while  another  is  speaking,  walk
                       between him and the chair.
                                                     Adjournment.

                           A motion  to adjourn is  not  susceptible  of  amendment.  If it  is  desirable  to
                       adjourn  to  any particular  place  or  time,  this may he  accomplished by  a  previous
                       resolution to that effect,

                       principle usually supposed  to influence  us;  and  upun  this  principle,  for the most
