Because of the Corona pandemic, you had a lot of locals this year right?
S: Yes, it was lots of locals as well. They came from everywhere, even Nicosia, and many of them have lived here all their life but never come to Sun Valley before. Some had never even been to Esentepe, so it was really nice to be able to give them a unique experience in their own country. And
they actually reminded us how much of a beautiful place it is where we work, because obviously you take it for granted every day, so they definitely reminded us of that which was really good.
Gülnar, you have come more recently as you started this year. What is mainly your job in SVM?
S: Well I am head of SVM so in general
I deal with maintenance service, staff, communication with suppliers, everything around Taro, payments, checks and of course all HR around our gardeners,
cleaners and drivers. Some times I support Safiye with some of our customer services and the services packages in general. I also take all the rental reservations from local of foreign people before passing it to Safiye.
We understand that you have come in to help working to develop SVM, what
is it that you are trying to accomplish?
G: Until now, SVM has been run manually, which is normal to do in the start of
a company. But as Baştaşlar is a very professional company and keeps their standards very high, we at SVM also need to improve ourselves to follow the same professional standard. We have therefore decided to buy a new system from Turkey, which is called Protel, that will handle
all our internal work and make us more professional as inside of this system we will use many different programs for our different works, such as Opera, NC and AirFlow, and all these programs have their own duties and tasks.
