                     Retaliation against a school employee, either on or off school property and when not
                       combined with another offense.

                  Offenses that require EXPULSION are:
                     Using, exhibiting, or possessing a firearms, prohibited knife, club, or prohibited
                       weapon.
                     Conduct containing elements of aggravated assault; sexual assault; aggravated
                       sexual assault; arson; murder; capital murder, or criminal attempt to commit
                       murder or capital murder; indecency with a child; aggravated kidnapping; conduct
                       related to alcohol or drugs that is punishable as felony.
                     The District will expel a student for retaliation against an employee involving any of
                       the offenses listed above.

               The District may EXPEL for:
                      Continued serious misbehavior following placement in an alternative education
                       program for disciplinary purposes.

                      Criminal mischief, if punishable as felony.
               In addition, the principal may expel a student immediately on an emergency basis if the
               principal believes the action is necessary for the protection of persons or property.


               Violation and Consequences
               Violations by students on the Student Code of Conduct may result in, but are not limited to,
               the following consequences:
                     Conference with teacher, advisor, counselor or principal.
                     Parent/teacher/advisor conference.
                     Reassignment of classes.
               In-school/after-school Suspension (including cafeteria duty)
               Out of school Suspension
                     Verbal reprimand.
                     Denial of privileges.
                     Assignment of supervised study/detention.
                     Corporal punishment
                     Home based instruction. (Unsupervised educational setting)
                     Recommendation to Alternative Center (Educational Adjustment & Success Center).
                     Expulsion
                     A student shall not be suspended for being truant or tardy. (H.B. 13).

               Infractions and Consequences
               NOTE:  Continuance of misconduct in any of the infractions listed in the following section
               may result in suspension, DAEP (Disciplinary Alternative Education Program) placement,
               and possible referral to juvenile authorities/legal authorities and /or expulsion from
               school based on the incident and administrative review.
