Human Trafficking for sexual exploitation has been recognized as the second major
social problem of the world. A descriptive and diagnostic study on Culture and
Mental Health status of Parents of Sex Trafficked victims reveals that the
practitioners at NGOs have identified the victims of sex trafficking and their parents
suffering from mental health issues such as depression, post-traumatic stress
syndrome, anxiety etc. The study also identified the role played by NGO’s in
educating sex buyers and introducing programmes to empower vulnerable women.

The article on Subjective Wellbeing among Third Age Citizens looks at the
possibilities of ‘age friendly college’ for enhancing ‘subjective well-being’ among
the elderly. The results of the experiment undertaken by MAGICS (Managing and
Generating Income for Community Services) based at Ernakulam District in the
state of Kerala, indicates that age friendly college intervention has showed positive
impact on the well-being of those who underwent the experience. Well-being score

before the intervention and after the intervention showed remarkable difference
and drastic growth of wellbeing and suggests such and other experiments may be
            adopted by geriatric social workers.
