            Materials and Method

            This research analyses data from an experimental group of age friendly students.
            This data consists of 49 respondents from convenient, demographically
            representative sample of age friendly students. The main objective of this study is
            to help the senior citizens to use social media to build relationships and to introduce
            them with the facilities of e-governance, e-banking, online payments and purchase
            which make them feel more independent and capable in their old age.  This study
            also intends to give them opportunity to come together, one to one interaction
            among teacher-learner group, youthful ambience of the setting, and independent
            choice of learning matters useful in life.
            The design adopted for the study was experimental design- pre and post-test without
            control group. Subjective wellbeing of elderly was assessed at the time of admission.
            The intervention was a three month computer course and other socializing
            programmes offered by the college. The post assessment of subjective wellbeing
            of elderly was assessed after the course completion.

            Phase 1- Pre assessment

            The subjective well-being of elderly was assessed using a five item scale developed
            by WHO before commencement of course.Any strategy requires a technology for
            first assessing and then detecting increments of progress. And it requires accurate
            and appropriate assessment tools that can be introduced through the educational
            process (Kane & Kane, 1984).
