            Across the Seven Seas
The highlight of college is without doubt the college tour held in the last leg of
college days and that for the Age Friendly Program was the Trip to Matsya fed
Aqua Tourism, Puthota, Ernakulam. The bus was filled with the sound of their
songs and there was also experience sharing on the part of the students. How this
course has helped them and such. The serene landscape of the destination was
liked by all and the calm and soothing atmosphere was a welcome change from the
busy city life. A brief stroll around the area and boating were the highlights of the
event. The boating in particular was enjoyed by students and teachers alike. After
lunch it was a storytelling time, the stories of their college antics and romances,
their experience these past three months in comparison with their own college
days. Finally after having tea and snacks the journey back began. A joyous
expression adorned every single face on the bus. On the way back the students
asked the teachers to share their experience. This trip set in stone the relations
            made during this course.

            Adieu – The Convocation
Every beginning has an ending. Nothing is forever. And so the First Batch of Age
Friendly too came to an end. After three months of learning computer and fun
outings final chapter has begun. The students were filled with mixed emotions.
Happiness at having got the opportunity to experience something so incredible in
that phase of life where society ignores their existence and sadness in knowing that
something so incredibly good is coming to an end, that it is time to part ways yet
again. The convocation ceremony included short messages by the Assistant Collector
Dr.Adleela Abdulla, IAS and Principal of Sacred Heart. The end was like the
beginning in terms of attendance, all 49 students and their respective teachers were
present. An opportunity to get reemployed was also made available during the
            convocation.
            The Christmas Celebration
An ending is never really an ending; it is just a new beginning in disguise. The
convocation was the beginning of the Alumni phase and what better time to meet
up for old time’s sake than Christmas. A Christmas celebration was organized. It
was an opportunity for the first batch students to meet the second batch and
encourage the latter to come out of the box and socialise. The mood was lively and
that of a teenage party with dance and music all around.
Convocation: Closing ceremony of first batch age friendly programme with
appreciating the senior students by honouring them and giving certificate of
            completion was conducted.
