The purpose of this study is to identify the level of wellbeing of elderly participants
of age friendly programme in Ernakulam district. The study participants were all
the elderly in the age group of 55-79 regular students of age friendly programme.
All participants belong to the Experimental group were tested among age friendly
students for the five item wellbeing scale. The respondents were tested in two
different phases. The Analysis was performed using paired sample t test within
group changes across the levels of intervention i.e. Pre-intervention, and Post
Intervention. The first assessment was done at the baseline i.e. the Pre-Intervention
stage prior to the intervention programme. The second stage is the Post-Intervention
stage where the groups were assessed immediately after the intervention. The
following are the results for each of the variables in all the two phase
Effectiveness of Intervention
The wellbeing of elderly was measured before and after the intervention. Paired
sample t-test was performed to assess the effectiveness of intervention.
