        Berkeley researchers recommend this knot for tying lures in slippery monofilament line. The
        trilene knot is a cross between an anchor bend and a clinch knot. Berkeley tests reveal that
        the knot yields 80 to 90 percent of the line’s breaking strength. Tip: Wet the knot before
        tightening it; this will lubricate the line and reduce damage caused by the heat of friction.
