Note that each strand is tucked through the rope from right to left, against the lay. Twist the
         strands clockwise as you pull them through the rope and maintain the same tension on each
           strand. This will give the splice a smooth, easier if you have a pointed tool untwisted look.
                                                                               Splicing will go to open the lay.
