About the Author
Tamara Shiloh is on a mission to help children learn about Black history and those other hidden
figures in American history. She is doing this with her children’s book series, Just Imagine…What
If There Were No Black People in the World? A series about African American inventors and
scientists. Her first book in the series, Jaxon’s Magical Adventure with Black Inventors and
Scientists is accompanied by a journal, workbook with puzzles and coloring book. Her goal is to
engage children by providing a fun and magical book with informative information that hopefully
inspire children to want to participate in STEM programs and pursue STEM careers. She speaks
on the importance of teaching Black history all year to all children.
Tamara believes that teaching Black history to young children will maintain good
relationships, improve relationships, provide mentors and build good self-esteem for Black
children. She lives in Northern California.
