RAMBYNAS MOUNTAIN
Many years ago there weren’t any mountains. There was only the plain around, people’s
houses were built up on a plain surface.
One day there was an unpleasant day. It started falling clods of the soil from the sky. All
people were very scared and they weren’t able to believe what they saw. Just some places were
covered with a thick layer of soil. The clods have fallen for five hours. People saw that there
appeared a lot of hills. The next day the story repeated : clods of soil fall from the sky on the same
area. It has rained for about one month. When the rain stopped, people were very surprise to see
hills and mountains in Lithuania. Passing Bitenai travellers saw an amazing view - there was such a
big mountain with a blanket of clouds around its peak. People named this big mountain Rambynas
mountain.
It’s until now so called.
