Case 5
This 87 year old woman reports a history of “canker sores” that are so
painful, she is unable to eat. Large ulcers are present on the right buccal
mucosa, left ventral tongue, left hard palate and the right soft palate.
Recently she developed 3 scalp lesions.
The patient’s medications include Synthroid, Protonix, Lasix, and Carafate.
