Case 6
This 38 year old African American woman presents with a rapidly growing mass in the right
posterior mandible. The lesion arose prior to the extraction of tooth #31, which was removed
approximately 3.5 months previously. Now there is an expansile mass in the former extraction
site.
The patient has a history of Type I, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and obesity.
