My lady, could you help me out with
these, please?
Traveler: My lady, could you help me out with these, please?
Sales person: Sure, which would you like to see, Ma’am?
Traveler: That one, the pink one, my favorite color.
Sales lady: I can see that you really love pink.
Traveler: It’s obvious with my outfi t today, isn’t it? Can I fi t this?
Sales person: Of course, let me assist you to the fi tting room.
Traveler: Thanks, do you think that this will suit me?
Sales woman: I think so. Madam, I feel that anything will fi t on you because you are so beauti-
ful.
Traveler: Oh no, that’s not true. That’s a nice compliment, but your even prettier than I am. Oh
my, I think I got fat! What’s the next size?
Sales lady: Medium, Ma’am.
Traveler: Can I see it. I want to fi t it, may I? Thanks. Perfect! Now, it fi ts me. Are you sure it looks
good on me? Well then, I’ll pay in cash. Where should I pay?
Sales woman: Please proceed to that cashier over there. Let me lead you.
Traveler: Yes please, I would appreciate it. Thank you for your customer service. Here’s some-
thing for you, take it!
Sales lady: I’m sorry I cannot just accept it; it’s against store policy.
Traveler: No, please accept it as a token. I have to be going now. Thanks a lot. Good bye.
1. Are you fond of shopping in huge shopping centers or department stores?
Sample answer:
No, I do not usually shop. I just buy something that I need. If I like something that goes behind
my budget, I see to it that I’ll prepare for it and buy it next time.
2. When was the last time that you bought your daughter a gift from a depart-
ment store?
Sample answer:
I just bought her a new pair of shoes for school yesterday because her old pair does not fit her
any longer.
