Although the opioid crisis and how to tackle it is complicated and may take a long time,
something seems to be clear. For patients, holistic (whole health care) and individualized
treatment plan should be pursued, alternative treatment other than opioid should be emphasized.
Close collaboration among health care providers and specialties will deliver the best care to
people whom we serve. This is more critical than ever, at a time like now.
