Summer French Program EUROPE

SUMMER

OVERVIEW

Each summer, Augustana, in partnership with the Centre International
D’Études Françaises of the Université de Bourgogne, conducts a six-week
program in the heart of France with immersive study of French language and
culture. During the program, students may opt to live with a local family or stay
at university residence halls with other international students, enjoy a wide range of
Cultural activities both on campus and in the community and visit other regions of France
on faculty-led overnight excursions.

Eligibility & Program Cap: This program
Requires sophomore status (completion
of 1 full year of college study prior to
departure) and a 2.00 GPA. There is no
requirement of prior study of French,
though the program is recommended for
v students of French language, culture and
literature.

This program is open to Augustana and
non-Augustana students.

Non-Augustana students should contact
the Director of International & Off-
Campus Programs for application
information. You will be required to enroll
as a summer-only student at Augustana
BUDGET & FEES as part of the application process.

Program Fee: Estimated Program fees for 2019 are $6,000. The Augustana Study Away website will provide
updated and finalized program fees.

Includes: Tuition, ground transport, accommodations, meals in homestay, all excursions, full time support staff,
and medical insurance.

Does not Include: Airfare, non-homestay meals and discretionary spending.

Out of Pocket Estimate: Estimated out-of-pocket costs range between $1,800 and $2,600, depending on student
spending habits and flight costs to/from Paris.
