AMERICAS COSTA RICA – San Ramón

OVERVIEW
Join this USAC program in San Ramón and spend a
semester in one of the greenest (verdant and ecologically
sound) countries on the planet, an ideal location to study
Biology, Environmental Studies, as well as Spanish, and
Latin American Culture. Students will live with families
DETAILS and attend classes at the U. of Costa Rica’s Western
Campus (Sede Occidente).
Requirements: This program requires
a 2.50 GPA. No language is required,
but at least 1 year of Spanish is recommended.
Spanish can be studied during the program.
This program has a cap of 6 students.
Fields of Study: All majors are eligible.
Recommended for Spanish, Spanish for Professional
Use, Biology, Environmental Studies, Public Health, 12-18
Latin American Studies. credits

Augustana Fees: Augustana tuition, room & board fees
apply.

Other Expenses: Airfare, local transportation, visa fees
and discretionary spending. Estimated
out of pocket costs are $1,500.
Financial Aid: All financial aid applies as if on
campus. Augie Choice eligible for
juniors & seniors. USAC also offers
scholarships for this program.
