             A Liliesleaf Trust UK Initiative

            Europe’s First Anti-Apartheid Museum
Founded in 2018 by former anti-apartheid activists, The Liliesleaf Trust UK is a UK
registered charity that advances public knowledge of the international movement
to end apartheid in Southern Africa. Our mission is to connect the lessons from
this historic struggle to foster positive social change, combat racism, and address
inequality. We are currently developing the first and only public heritage site in
Europe dedicated to this critical history—a museum and community hub located at
            28 Penton Street, Islington, London.

            A Museum Beyond Boundaries

Once the headquarters of the African National Congress-in-exile, the site was a hub
for a diverse array of anti-apartheid activities that reverberated across the globe,
contributing to the downfall of apartheid in South Africa and advancing the causes of
anti-racism, anti-colonialism, and social justice worldwide.
