WELCOME TO ALISON

The Chamber has been considering a CEO, an ‘Alison’ for a while. Good things come to those

who are patient. I am personally so grateful to Alison Kingsley-Hall for applying and now
joining the Chamber as our first CEO, to bring her knowledge, experience and networks to
bear. Under her leadership, and with the management team we have developed over the

years, the Chamber is ready to take its next big growth step.

From a governance perspective we have now separated the leadership roles, Alison as CEO
and leader of the Chamber and myself, as Chairman, leader of the Board. A strong and

complementary match to get things done. This team is supported by a number of new
Board members and the Chairs of committees to spread the load and empower reaching
            new heights.

I am proud of the Board and management team we have created and look forward to
working with Alison, who is such a bundle of fun, energy and ‘can-do’ mentality. Please
attend events to come and meet Alison and many others in our team. You might find that

your life might never be the same again.

Alison comes into the SA Chamber UK at interesting and busy times, politically, economically
and business wise. The Chamber has been involved in the ‘Never Again’ project to protect

business from state capture style stresses, which GIBS built upon with key business leaders
to support business to recognise and deal with large scale corruption.

                                                                        KINGSLEY-HALL
