Study Abroad While Earning Credits Toward Graduation

Summer 2019
Dr. Ben Attias
"Rhetoric in Rome" Study abroad programs are great opportunities
for students studying Communication. Our
study abroad program is faculty-led and faculty
taught and well organized. Students spend one
week in class, two to four weeks touring a
country or cultural city and the last week on
campus preparing for a the COMS Department
Summer Study Abroad Symposium.
The Symposium carries a different theme each
year based on the various perspectives from
which the course is taught. Presentations are
based on the study abroad experience and
education sessions. The Symposium is held at
CSUN and is an excellent venue to bring
together CSUN’s Global Community to share
experiences and knowledge.
The safety of our students and faculty abroad is
always our first priority, and we are actively
monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak. The COMS
Abroad Program will continue to run as planned
once we are safe to travel abroad.
Faculty and students are encouraged to complete
the online forms.
