1. OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE
• The owner’s representative should be appointed by the owner for the whole
period from the strategy stage and into the operation and end-of-life work stage
to provide continuity of purpose and consistency of approach.
• The owner’s representative should report to the employer and may consult with
the representative/s of end-users or other key stakeholders as determined by the
owner.
• The role of the owner’s representative should be to maintain the focus of all
parties on the required project outcomes and operational performance, as well as
on an evidence-based approach during all work stages.
• The day-to-day role of the owner’s representative should not be delegated to
another party.
