Dance of Angels
Surface: I have painted this design on to a large cutting board. This design would be nice
painted on lots of different surfaces. Just enlarge or reduce the pattern to fit your surface.
Preparation: Glue some old pieces of music paper to the bottom of the board. Let dry. Seal
the music with Deco Art multi purpose sealer. Let dry and then lightly antique over the music paper with Trad. Burnt Umber. Dry brush the board lightly with Slate Grey. Sand here and there with medium grit sandpaper and then lightly antique the board with Trad. Burnt Umber.
Supplies: Music paper, Deco Art multi purpose sealer. Deco Art matte sealer finisher spray. Glue
Dance of hearts tree: Line with Trad. Burnt Umber. Base the wings with White. Sand over them and then Antique with Trad. Burnt Umber. Line writing with Black. Base the star with Russet. Line the star with Black. Line writing with White.
Angels:
Angel faces arms and legs: Base with Toffee. Lightly shade with Trad. Raw Sienna. Dry brush cheeks with Burnt Sienna. Dot eyes with Black.
Wings: Line the vines with Trad. Burnt Umber. Line the leaves on the vines with White.
White dresses: Base with White and Float shade with Khaki Tan. Dab little flowers with Rookwood Red. Line little swirls in the flowers with White. Line the leaves with Hauser Medium Green. Line with Black.
Pink Dress: Base with Mauve and Dry brush with White.
Green Dress: Base with Hauser Med Green. Dry brush with White.
Blue Dress: Base with Uniform Blue. Dry brush with White.
Paint all the flowers the same. Line the little ribbons that attach at the bottom of the star with White. Line all the wording with Black.
Finishing touches: Spatter lightly with Black. Spray the painting with Deco Art matte sealer finisher.
