                                Good Grooming Techniques and Common Courtesy Practices

               3.1     Good Grooming Techniques

               As  customers  see  you  before  they  talk  to  you,  organizations  tell  their  staff  to  have  good
               personal presentation. They have standards for the Service Providers to follow.

               Organizations want their staff to:

               -  wear suitable clothing and accessories (uniforms, aprons, etc., may be provided)

               -  comply to their grooming standards, e.gs., hairstyle, nails, make-up, etc.

               -  pay attention to their personal hygiene
               There  are  different  grooming  rules  and  regulations  for  male  and  female  Service  Providers.
               Below are some effective grooming techniques for both males and females to think about.

               Hair – Males

               -  Cut the hair (if it is long)
               -  Use some wax / gel / mousse to plaster the hair


               Hair – Females
               -  Fringe should be short

               -  If the fringe is long, it should be pinned up

               -  Long hair should be tied / bunned  up

               Face – Females Only

               -  Apply light  make-up
               Oral Hygiene

               -  Brush teeth daily and well / properly

               -  Use mouthwash (if suspected of bad breath)
               Body

               -  Wear light perfume

               If the organization does not provide uniforms and accessories, Service Providers  are to take
               note of the following:
