North-Eastern Media and Information Literacy and
Digital Literacy Status
Regarding the MIL and DL status classified by 3,106 North-Eastern, the 3 key
competencies have an average score that including 70.7 points in “Access”, 64.6 points in
“Evaluate” and 63.5 points in “Create”. An average score of three elements are 66.3 points
or ranked into Intermediate class that can explained, Thais can appropriately use and
consume the information from media in daily life. And result of the Digital Literacy survey
that shown, citizens of Thailand have average score 62.2 points or rank into Basic class and
can explained that North-Eastern citizens have technology usage skill in basic level.
According to the basic skill and knowledge, the possibility of illegal behavior because lack
of knowledge that include ethical knowledge, legal knowledge and security knowledge.
According to survey status, the public sector must collaborate with private sector and
citizens to improving digital competence for creating innovation and transforming to digital
citizenships.
