 Connection Points
September 2018
Wednesday night for K-12th. Our first NextGen mid-week gathering is scheduled on January 9, and our gatherings will be held from 6:15-8:15pm, which is a slight change from the times we have used in the past.
Thank you so much for making it possible for us to be a church that not only values the Next Generation, but your commitment allows us to invest in their mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical maturity, as well. Thank you for your commitment to Jesus and His church, and we ask for each one of you to join us in praying for these changes. We also ask that you join us in praying for the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit to make the best decisions in the days ahead!
Trunk-or-Treat
Our annual Trunk-or-Treat event for the community will be hosted by the BVC Kids Ministry on Sunday, October 28, from 4:00-6:00p. One HUGE way that you can help us make this a successful event is to donate bags of individually wrapped candy. We will be accepting donations each Sunday from September 30-October 28, and you can drop off your candy donations at our new Connection Point in the Lobby.
If you have any questions about any of these updates, please feel free to contact a member of our NextGen Team!
Thank you,
The BVC NextGen Team
each night that you bring your families, and we plan to have the system as flawless as possible by the final combined mid-week gathering date (December 4).
Secondly, we are asking for flexibility. We greatly appreciate how flexible you have continued to be with us as we have tried different things over the past few years, and we are asking for additional flexibility in all of this, as we want to make this transition well. What may be tried on the first night may need to be changed prior to the second night, and your flexibility with our team as we learn how to best manage three different sets of small groups, large groups, and other planned activities will be vital in making this work.
Lastly, we would also ask that you provide feedback to help us make the necessary adjustments this fall to make the spring mid- week gatherings the best they can be week- in and week-out. Let us know how the check-in and check-out processes worked...or didn’t. Let us know if your kids felt like the small groups were too long or too short. Feedback is a key way that we can hear about missed opportunities or opportunities for improvement.
Spring Mid-Week Gatherings
Other than the five combined nights, High School and Middle School mid-week gatherings will continue as they have been scheduled in the past, with High School meeting on Tuesday nights and Middle School meeting on Thursday nights. As we enter into 2019 and our spring semester, we will begin having mid-week gatherings every
