How Might this Recommendation be Introduced to the Campus Community?

Given the fact that the suggested recommendation represents very little change for students, a formal
announcement to students is not deemed necessary. That being said, it is recommended that students
are made aware of how these educational experiences will improve communication and clinical skills
with patients. For faculty, however, it is critical that schools and departments are held accountable to
their Deans and to the Office of the Vice President to ensure its implementation. As such, the
introduction of this initiative must come from the top levels of leadership.

When is the Possible Semester for Delivery?

Given the minimal logistical considerations needed to fully implement this recommendation, SCIE
Ambassadors believe it is reasonable that this recommendation be implemented between Spring 2017
               and Fall 2017.

               What are the Potential Barriers?

The largest barrier to the implementation of this recommendation is a lack of support from the Office of
the Vice President in making this an expectation of all five health sciences schools. Further, the financial
cost may also be a barrier as it must be determined who will incur the associated costs.
