FROM THE CSM OF THE CORPS

          Greetings fellow FCA members!

        lllkkkkkk

The landscape of the Finance Corps is constantly evolving. As the Army
adapts to a new administration, the Finance & Comptroller School is at the

forefront of ensuring our Soldiers are Forging the Future. Every day in the
schoolhouse we are looking to Strengthen the Profession, by being brilliant
at the basics. Standards and discipline are the key concepts for our Corps to
successfully navigate the ever-changing operating environment.

Regimental week this year will be held 23-25 April here at Fort Jackson, SC.
The key focus for the conference this year will be “Forging the Future” to tie CSM Rodland
into the key take aways from the tabletop exercise conducted December 2024.
Attendees will participate in working groups to identify solutions on a variety of problem sets.
Engaged participation is critical for these working groups to be successful as the results will shape
          the future of our Corps.

Simultaneously, during Regimental week we will host the Soldier of the Year competition.
Competitors in the Soldier, Non-Commissioned Officer, and Officer categories will conduct an
obstacle course, physical fitness assessment, road march, range operations, land navigation,
technical test, writing competition, and will culminate with a general knowledge board. The
competition was designed around Expert Soldier Badge requirements to ensure our Soldiers are
mastering the basics, physically fit, and well trained.

16 June 2025 is a major milestone for the Finance Corps as this is our 250th anniversary. The
Regimental Ball will be held on 25 April at the 1917 Club (old NCO club) Fort Jackson, SC. During
the ball this year, we will have a special tribute for the Finance Corps 250th birthday which
highlights key achievements from our history. The Finance and Comptroller School will also be
releasing segments of our history in blocks of 50 years at a time on social media leading up to the
birthday. All our Finance organizations are encouraged to celebrate the Finance Corps birthday
and share those celebrations on social media as allowed by your organizations.

The Finance Senior Enlisted Initiative Committee (FSEIC), comprised of the Finance Nominative
Sergeants Major and the Regimental CSM, is establishing a Finance and Comptroller Enlisted
Guide. The guide is intended to outline the roles and responsibilities of our Non-Commissioned
Officers within our finance organizations across all three service components. This guide will
support Soldiers and supervisors in enhancing various aspects of our Finance Operations and
Resource Management enlisted Soldiers performance, including decision-making, mentorship,
technical proficiency, problem-solving and accountability. The guide is projected to be released
during Regimental week to strengthen our profession.

Lastly, I would like to give a specials “Thanks” to Mr. Gennaro Penn, FCA President, and Mr.
Michael Kelly, RAFINO President, for sharing the hardship of one of our instructors who lost
everything in an apartment fire. To all the members of both organizations who contributed towards
this hardship, CPT Brule sends his deepest gratitude for your generous support!
