FROM THE FCA VICE PRESIDENT

Strengthening the Finance Corps:

As the Vice President of the Finance Corps Association, I had the honor of speaking with
32 senior enlisted leaders at the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management &
Comptroller (ASA FM&C) SGM Symposium. This was an invaluable opportunity to engage in an
open dialogue about the importance of the Association, the benefits of membership, and how we
can better serve our Finance Corps professionals.

Our discussion centered on why joining the Association matters, emphasizing its role in
professional development, mentorship, and networking. More importantly, we had a transparent
and candid conversation about what we can do better to support our enlisted leaders and the
broader Finance Corps community.
The feedback from the SGMs was insightful and constructive. Key takeaways included:

Expanding mentorship and career development opportunities.

Increasing engagement with junior enlisted Soldiers to highlight the Association’s value early

in their careers.

Enhancing communication about our initiatives and how members can get involved.

Taking these recommendations to heart, we are already working on implementing some of
these ideas to make the Finance Corps Association stronger and more impactful for its members.

I am grateful for the opportunity to engage with these senior leaders and look forward to
continuing this dialogue as we shape the future of our Corps together.
