DI - 344 Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts

Diagnosis procedure
1. Check the hand brake indicator lamp.

a. Ignition switch: ON, while the hand brake handle is pulled up, this indicator lamp will be on.
b. Ignition switch: ON, while the hand brake handle is put down, this indicator lamp will be off.
Check whether the hand brake indicator lamp keeps on or is off.
Yes > if keeping on, go to step 2.

No > if off, go to step 4.
2. Check of the signal circuit of manual brake indicator is short

a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Put down the parking brake handle.
Caution

Before the hand brake handle is put down, firstly use wedge blocks to fix four wheels to avoid the
vehicle sliding.

c. Disconnect the connector B075 of manual brake switch.
d. Ignition switch: ON.
Check whether the parking/hand brake indicator lamp is off.
Yes > replace the hand brake switch.
NO > go to Step 3.

3. Check of the signal circuit of manual brake indicator is short

a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector B015 of combination instrument.
c. Disconnect the connector B075 of manual brake switch.

d. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between 1#
terminal of manual braking switch e connector F075 and
earthing.
Standard resistance:

Multimeter connecting terminal Standard value

B075(2)-grounding >1MΩ

Is the test result ok?
Yes>go to Step 4.

No > repair or replace the signal circuit.
4. Check the power circuit of hand brake indicator lamp.

a. Pull up the hand brake handle, ignition switch: LOCK.
