Charging system fault
Overview
The function of charging system is: to convert some mechanical energy of engine to electric energy via
generator and supply power to vehicle electrical system.
Precautions
1. Never disconnect the battery connection during engine operation.
2. When the starter is assembled/disassembled on complete vehicle and the battery negative cable is not
disconnected, the starter power wire will cause electric spark in case of contact with vehicle body. This
may result in personal injury and electrical component damage. Therefore, it is necessary to disconnect
the battery negative cable before the above operations are done.
3. To check the charging system, it is necessary to check whether each connector and wire joint are firm
and reliable at first.
4. When the generator is dismantled, never damage the external sealing compound of coil.
