Steering system failure
Steering mechanism failure
Overview
During driving, it is necessary to change driving directions frequently (i.e. vehicle steering) . The
method for it: the driver makes the wheels on the steering axle turn a certain angle in relevant to the Y-
line of vehicle through the steering mechanism.
2. When the vehicle drives straightly the steerin wheels m change the drivin direction
automaticall because of the road side interference. At this moment the driver can turn the
steerin wheels t the opposite direction through the steerin mechanism s as t recover to to the
original direction.
3. The steerin mechanism of vehicle mainl includes the steerin operatin control mechanism,
steering device and steering gear.
Precautions
1. Before turning over the cab, make sure that the finished automobile is parked on flat roads and the
engine is stopped while transmission is in neutral gear. Then use the parking brake system and close the door.
2. Before turning up the cab, make sure that there is no sundries placed in the cab and no personnel
standing in front of the cab. After turning up the cab, installation of safety pin shall be guaranteed in
position.
3. Switch off the engine and ignition switch when working under the vehicle.
4. Durin driving if there are steerin noises sudden ponderosity or stuck phenomenon stop
immediately for troubleshooting, in order to find the problem and remove it.
5. When the engine is off, prohibit rotating the steering wheel. When the steering wheel is locked, do not
move the vehicle to prevent damaging the steering wheel and other parts.
6. During driving, prohibit performing service to any part.
7. During service, if bearings get stuck or loose, replace them.
