OIL PAN AND FILTER ELEMENT

REPLACEMENT

1. Park the vehicle on a level ground, apply the parking brake, and engage the “P”
gear.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable (refer to “Chapter 18 Starting and charging -
Replacement, battery”).
3. Raise the vehicle.

4. Screw out the transmission bottom drain
plug and discharge the transmission
lubricating oil.
NOTICE:
•Before discharge, make sure that the vent plug is
unostructed.
• When discharging the transmission lubricating
oil, use a dedicated vessel to receive the
transmission lubricating oil, and dispose it as

fuwx21B008 required.
• After the transmission lubricating oil is
discharged, refit the drain plug, and avoid
forgetting this. 21B
Torque:12 N•m

5. Remove the oil pan
(a). Screw out the fixing bolt, and take down
the oil pan and gasket.
NOTICE:
The removed gasket shall not be further used,
and a new gasket shall be fitted.
