21B-22 TRANSMISSION - INPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL

INPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL

REPLACEMENT

1. Remove the transmission assembly (refer to “Chapter 21B Transmission -
Replacement, transmission assembly”).
2. Remove the hydraulic torque converter (refer to “Chapter 21B Transmission -
Replacement, hydraulic torque converter”.

3. Remove the input shaft oil seal.
(a). Use the special tool to remove the input
shaft oil seal.
NOTICE:
Take care not to damage the input shaft and oil
pump.

4. Refit the input shaft oil seal.
(a). Use the special tool to refit the input shaft
oil seal.
NOTICE:
The oil seal shall be installed with the lettered
surface facing up.

(b). Use the rubber hammer to fit the oil seal in
place.
