Diagnosis steps

1. Examine battery voltage

(a). Unplug battery positive and negative binding post.

(b). Use a multimeter to measure the voltage
between the battery positive and negative
electrode.

Multimeter
connection pin Standard value
Battery positive
electrode - negative Approx 12V
electrode

Check if the result is normal?
YES> To step 2.
NO> Battery positive electrode - negative electrode.

2. DTC Test

(a). Turn off the ignition switch and all the
electrical appliances and connect the
vehicle diagnostic device to the diagnose
interface.
(b). With the ignition switch: "ON", read and
clear the DTC with the vehicle diagnostic
device.
(c). Turn off the ignition switch and all
theelectrical appliances and after 3~5
seconds reset the ignition switch on the
"ON" gear.
(d). Read the DTC with the vehicle diagnostic
device again.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES> To step 3.
No >For accidental faults, check whether the plug of the airbag electronic control unit
connector is loosen and eroded.

3. Examine reversing lamp relay

(a). Ignition switch: "LOCK".
(b). Disconnect reversing lamp relay R02.
