                 General


                 1.     Cylinder misfire means the mixture gas can’t be burned in the cylinder during the
                        engine working.
                 2.     If the engine EFI control unit detects the misfire that may cause damages to the
                        catalytic convertor, the fault indicator willblink, and it should turn off the engine
                        immediately.
                 3.     When the engine running timeis longer than 60s, and the cooling liquid temperature
                        is higher than70℃ , the system detects that the speed fluctuation of the revolution
                        sensor exceeds thesystem set value, it will trigger the fault code. This fault code
                        indicates that many cylinders misfired or engine EFI control unitcan’t identify
                        which cylinder is misfired. The fault reasons include the mechanical fault of cylinder,
                        fuel metering error, toohigh or too low of the fuel pressure, the fault of evaporative
                        emission system, the failure of ignition system and air intake system failure etc.

                 Diagnosis Procedure

                     Notice:
                 • Before the diagnosis, ensure that engineECUand the connector of the ignition coil
                  connect well.
                 • Before performing a diagnosis and testing, refer to circuit diagrams and component
                  information.
                 • Before performing the test, check whether the connector pins are ruptured, loosened or
                  corroded, to ensure proper contact of pin.
                 • If the engine electronic control system stores other DTCs except misfire DTC , it should
                  first troubleshoot these DTCs.
