15-86 ENGINE MECHANICAL - PISTON & CONNECTING ROD ASSEMBLY

(i) Tighten the fixing bolts.
Bolt tightening torque:

Level 1 tightening: 34Nm
Level 2 tightening: rotate 60 degrees
counterclockwise
Level 3 tightening: 34Nm

15 Level 4 tightening: rotate 60 degrees
clockwise

NOTICE

• If the bolt is deformed or damaged, replace the bolt.
• Apply a thin layer of oil under the threaded and connecting rod bearing cap
bolts.
• If any bolt can not be locked to the specified torque, replace the entire set of
connecting rod and connecting rod bearing cap fixing bolts.
• Check whether the rotation of crankshaft is smooth. Install the oil tray.

21 . Install the oil tray. (Refer to "Chapter 18 Lubrication - oil try, replacement")
22 . Install the Cylinder Head. (Refer to "Chapter 15 Engine mechanical system -
Cylinder Head, Valve, Cylinder Head Overhaul")
23 . Install the engine assembly. (Refer to "Chapter 15 Engine mechanical system -
engine assembly, replacement")
