REPLACEMENT

1 . Park the vehicle, shut down the engine, and apply the parking brake.
2 . Remove the console (refer to“Chapter 83 Dashboard and console - Replacement,
console”).

3 . Remove the transmission control
mechanism.
(a) Pry out the gearshift flexible shaft connected
to the transmission.

(b) Screw out the fixing bolt, and remove the
transmission control mechanism bracket.

(c) Disconnect the transmission wiring harness
connector.
