REPLACEMENT

NOTICE

When removing the transmission shift knob, the shift shall be placed at N.

NOTICE

Caution:The transmissions of 4WD and 2WD vehicles are replaced in the same way.
Below the introduction is made by taking the 2WD vehicles as the example, and
difference with the 4WD vehicles will be given.

1 . Park the vehicle on a level ground, apply the parking brake, and engage the
“P” gear.
2 . Disconnect the battery negative cable. (refer to “Chapter 20 Starting and
charging - Replacement, battery”）
3 . Raise the vehicle.

4 . Screw out the transmission bottom drain
plug and discharge the transmission
lubricating oil.
NOTICE

• Before discharge, make sure that the vent
plug is unobstructed
• When discharging the transmission
lubricating oil, use a dedicated vessel to
receive the transmission lubricating oil,
ftwx411031
and dispose it as required.
• After the transmission lubricating oil is
discharged, refit the drain plug, and avoid
forgetting this.

Torque:12 N•m 41

5 . Remove the transfer case assembly.（refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission (6HP21)
- Replacement, transfer case）

6 . Remove the transmission assembly.
(a) Screw out the connecting bolt between the
rear propeller shaft universal joint and the
transmission flange plate assembly.
