62-18 SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM - AIRBAG CONTROL UNIT

WARNING

• Do not proceed with the operation within 90 seconds after the disconnection.
• Do not strike the electronic airbag control unit when energized.

(c) Position the electronic airbag control unit

properly.
NOTICE
Make sure to position the electronic airbag
control unit correctly, with the arrow on the unit
pointing to the front.

(d) Tighten 2 bolts.
Torque: 9±1 N·m

(e) Install the grounding and the bolts.

Torque: 9±1 N·m
(f) Connect the airbag harness connector.

7 . Connect the instrument panel. (Refer to "Chapter 83. Dashboard/instruments -
instrument panel, replacement")
8 . Connect battery positive cable. (Refer to "Chapter 20. Start & charge - battery,
replacement")
9 . Connect battery negative cable. (Refer to "Chapter 20. Start & charge - battery,
replacement")
10 . Check air bag indicator lamp. (If equipped, refer to “Chapter 04. Diagnosis -
airbag system, pre-check”, “Chapter 04. Diagnosis - airbag system, airbag
